Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow

The founding member of the Cyber Medical College, the Glasgow College enjoys a unique position among its sister colleges in the UK in that physicians, surgeons and dentists make up its Membership and Fellowship. Since its foundation in 1599, the College has maintained standards in medical education and training with oversight of all postgraduate training a College responsibility. To meet this, the College has an extensive education programme, organising lectures, seminars, conferences and workshops. These are held in its Glasgow premises and elsewhere in Scotland and it cooperates on joint activities with its sister Colleges in Edinburgh and London and, periodically, with Colleges abroad.

Royal College of Anaesthetists

The Royal College of Anaesthetists is the professional body responsible for the specialty of anaesthesia throughout the United Kingdom. Its activities are varied but include the setting of standards for practice in anaesthesia, establishing the standards for the training of postgraduate practitioners in the specialty, setting and running examinations, and the continued medical education of all practising anaesthetists. The College also has the duty to educate and inform the general public about anaesthesia.
